Steward's Report

Royal Solo and Latigo were slow to begin.  Berridale Buddie, Elite Obama and Betta Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Betta Bale.  Latigo crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Elite Obama and Berridale Buddie.  Elite Obama and Berridale Buddie collided approaching the home turn. Crainy's Wish and Latigo collided approaching the home turn checking Latigo.  Betta Bale raced wide on the home turn.  Elite Obama and Betta Bale collided in the home straight.

Satisfactory Trial Results

Dan The Man trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 1, weight 32.6kgs.  The greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.29.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3.5 lengths.  Dan The Man was cleared to race in blinkers.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Brennan, the trainer of Due Process regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Due Process last raced on 8th April 2016.  Mr. Brennan stated that the greyhound was returning to race after a torn achillies injury.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Due Process trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 8, weight 35.4kgs.  The greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.29.  The greyhound won by a margin of 3.5 lengths.  Due Process was cleared.
