Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Blue Miller Girl.
The start of this event was delayed by approximately 2 1/2 minutes due to a delay in obtaining a pre race sample.
Vista Princess and Rory Brown were slow to begin. Trademark Bliss crossed to the outside at the 300m mark, checking Mini Dozer and Gold Odessa. Trademark Bliss and Gold Odessa collided at the 275m mark. Mini Dozer and Gold Odessa collided at the 200m mark. Tip Toe and Miss Springer collided at the 150m mark. Blue Miller Girl and Gold Odessa collided approaching the winning post.
A sample was taken from Rory Brown - the winner of the event.
Vista Princess was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following race 8, it was reported that the greyhound was dehydrated, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to catcher Mr. B. Meachem after it was established the greyhound Blue Miller Girl did not have a catcher in this event. Stewards were unable to clearly determine who was at fault, and reminded Mr Meachem of his responsibility when accepting greyhounds to catch.
