Steward's Report
Smoke Or Fire was a late scratching at 3.03p.m. due to injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Tomdor was slow to begin. Five Mississippi stumbled at box rise and was very slow to begin as a result (5 lengths). Charly Shu Shine and Rangler Bale collided soon after the start, checking Rangler Bale. Nick and Cosmic Josie collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn, checking Cosmic Josie. Charly Shu Shine checked off Cosmic Josie on the first turn. Five Mississippi checked off Cosmic Josie entering the home straight. Nick and Tomdor collided in home straight, checking Nick. Rangler Bale and Five Mississippi collided approaching the winning post.
Five Mississippi was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following race 8, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
