I'll Be Black and Kraken Suzie were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. Dashing Impulse, Romani Dreaming and Latifi Cee Jay collided soon after the start. Romani Dreaming, Latifi Cee Jay and Brandeen Kimba collided approaching the first turn. Brandeen Kimba checked off Latifi Cee Jay approaching the first turn. I'll Be Black checked off Brandeen Kimba on the first turn, causing I'll Be Black to contact the running rail and lose considerable ground as a result. Romani Dreaming checking off Dashing Impulse on the first turn. Dashing Impulse and Latifi Cee Jay collided on the home turn. Kraken Suzie galloped on the heels of Latifi Cee Jay entering the home straight, checking both greyhounds. Romani Dreaming and Brandeen Kimba collided on the home turn and again approaching the home straight on several occasions, checking both greyhounds.
I'll Be Black was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
