Mr. M. Chilcott, trainer of Mister Campo declared a new weight of 32.9 kg's for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Mister Campo last raced at 31.6 kg's.

Mister Campo and Suspicious Pete were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. Ima Tomahawk and Vanderville collided soon after the start. Emily's Kitty and Suspicious Joe collided approaching the first turn. Smart Action, Ima Tomahawk and Mister Campo collided on the first turn, checking Suspicious Joe and Suspicious Pete, and severely checking Smart Action, Ima Tomahawk and Mister Campo. Ima Tomahawk fell as a result. Vanderville and Let's Run collided approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds. Vanderville and Let's Run collided on the home turn, checking Vanderville. Vanderville checked off Suspicious Pete on the home turn. 

Smart Action was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to the left hind foot, a three day stand down period was imposed. 

Ima Tomahawk was vetted following the event. It was reported that that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the left fore toe, no stand down period was imposed. 

Mister Campo was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained minor abrasions to the left hind leg, no stand down period was imposed. 

Suspicious Joe was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the left back muscle and lacerations to the right hind webbing, a ten day stand down period was imposed.
