Cyclone Charlie was quick to begin. Miss Dozer was slow to begin. Majestic Mia and Why Not Will collided soon after the start, checking Majestic Mia. Why Not Will and Avatar Flame collided approaching the first turn, checking Avatar Flame, which faltered and tailed off as a result. Majestic Mia checked off Miss Dozer on the home turn. Roland View and Cyclone Charlie collided in the home straight.

Avatar Flame was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left hock and a laceration to the left hind nail bed, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

This race was delayed by 1 minute, due to the Veterinary Surgeon being held up treating a greyhound from the previous event. 

Milly O'Muffin and Saloon Princess were quick to begin. Laniakea and Milly O'Muffin collided on the first turn. Miss Who checked off Laniakea approaching the home turn, and raced wide as a result. Miss Who and Bangor Glynis collided entering the home straight.

Odin Blaze and Hello Nimble were slow to begin. Your New Disease, Purple Hand and Nilson Bale collided soon after the start, checking Purple Hand, Nilson Bale and Hello Nimble. Odin Blaze and Sue Fire collided approaching the home turn, checking Sue Fire, causing Sue Fire to check off the heels of Hello Nimble, checking both greyhounds. Nilson Bale and Hello Nimble collided several times in the home straight.

Bangor Dorrie, Mint Boy, Coco Marlow and Roman Blue Jay were slow to begin. Gats Pacino, Mint Boy, Blue Marmion and Dami Gal collided on the first turn, checking Mint Boy, Dami Gal and Coco Marlow, and severely checking Blue Marmion. Coco Marlow and Roman Blue Jay collided approaching the home turn.

Guard Your Path and Hands To Myself were quick to begin. Lemon Paw and Van Damm were slow to begin. Van Damm checked off Who's My Daddy on the first turn. Second Dan and Guard Your Path collided on the first turn, checking Second Dan and Joe Mama. Lemon Paw checked off Van Damm approaching the third turn. Guard Your Path and Hands To Myself collided entering the home straight. Sweet Candy raced wide in the home straight. Hands To Myself and Guard Your Path collided approaching the winning post.

Zall Over was slow to begin. Bling Worthy, Dash Of Scotch and Hyundai Hawk collided soon after the start, severely checking Dash Of Scotch. Hyundai Hawk and Rock Away collided approaching the first turn, checking Hyundai Hawk. Dash Of Scotch and Hyundai Hawk collided on the first turn. Bling Worthy and Rock Away collided on the first turn. Addictive Riley and Dash Of Scotch collided on the third turn, checking both greyhounds. Brindle Audrey and Hyundai Hawk collided approaching the home turn, and again entering the home straight.

Credit Entry checked off Addictive Bryce in the home straight.

Paddles Anderson was a late scratching at 6.08pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Peter Reinders, the trainer of Sonic Pirate regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Sonic Pirate last raced on 1st June 2016. Mr. Reinders stated that the greyhound had been having a spell.

Our First Lady was quick to begin. Quick Step and Merlin's Rocket collided on the first turn. Quick Step checked off Kirk Bale on the second turn. Andy Jay checked off Quick Step on the third turn. Quick Step checked off Merlin's Rocket in the home straight. Sonic Pirate raced wide in the home straight.

Fashion Boots and Superior Bobby collided on the first turn, checking Superior Bobby. Snaphook Sticka and Auburn Gal collided on the first turn, checking Auburn Gal and Fashion Boots, and severely checking Snaphook Sticka. Fashion Boots and Shifty Joshua collided approaching the home turn, checking Shifty Joshua. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Jensen regarding the direction that the greyhound Superior Bobby be boxed first. Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.

Le Sands and Enchanted Lass were quick to begin. Pop Ya Bubble, Allen Clown and Twistex were slow to begin. Pop Ya Bubble, Cruiser's Sol and Enchanted Lass collided on the first turn. Allen Clown checked off Enchanted Lass approaching the home turn. Tumble And Dry checked off Pop Ya Bubble approaching the home turn, checking Twistex. Cruiser's Sol, Enchanted Lass and Allen Clown collided approaching the home turn, checking Enchanted Lass, and severely checking Cruiser's Sol. Tumble And Dry checked off Pop Ya Bubble in the home straight. Pop Ya Bubble and Soda Anne collided approaching the winning post.
