Iconic Rock was quick to begin. Our Lilly was slow to begin. Jackie Baxter, Run Ollie Run, Sisco Gillie and Midnight Ride collided soon after the start, checking Sisco Gillie. Run Ollie Run and Midnight Ride collided approaching the first turn, checking Minight Ride. Jackie Baxter and Run Ollie Run collided on the first turn. Midnight Ride, Sisco Gillie and Run Ollie Run collided on the first turn, checking Run Ollie Run. Sisco Gillie and Run Ollie Run collided approaching the home turn, checking Run Ollie Run. Proper Bluey veered out and marred the running of Iconic Rock on the home turn. Lochinvar Kors raced wide in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. F. Rachele, the trainer of the greyhound Proper Bluey regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Proper Bluey with marring. Mr. Rachele pleaded guilty to the charge, Proper Bluey was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 12 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(c), before any future nomination will be accepted.
