Our Wild Emily, Tangoette and Diamond Delight were slow to begin.  Tiger Bobby and Highfield Socks collided soon after the start.  Bankabul, Diamond Delight, Tiger Bobby and Highfield Socks collided approaching the first turn checking Diamond Delight and severely checking Tiger Bobby and Highfield Socks.  Destructacon and Bankabul collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Our Wild Emily and Belron Bliss collided entering the home straight, several times in the home straight and approaching the winning post checking Belron Bliss.

Flying Cola and Emm Kaes Joker were slow to begin.  Flying Cola and Candyo collided approaching the first turn.  Johnny Scull checked off Dunder approaching the home turn.  Johnny Scull and Special Member collided approaching the home turn.  Dunder and Zulu Zoe collided entering the home straight. Special Member eased in the home straight and checked Emm Kaes Joker as a result.

Special Member was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.  Trainer, Mr. D. Hill declined a re-vet.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Hill, the trainer of the greyhound Special Member regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1), stewards charged Special Member with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Hill pleaded not guilty to the charge.  Special Member was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Baker, the trainer of the greyhound Capel Sound regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Capel Sound last raced on 30th June 2016.  Mr. Baker stated that the greyhound was returning to race after a spell.

Caitlin Louise was quick to begin.  Doogee, Razldazl Jackie and Elita Obama were slow to begin.  Order In Line and Caitlin Louise collided approaching the first turn.  Caitlin Louise, Joe Mama and Capel Sound collided approaching the first turn.  Skybella checked off Doogee approaching the first turn.  Caitlin Louise, Capel Sound and Elite Obama collided on the first turn checking Capel Sound and Elite Obama.  Razldazl Jackie checked off Capel Sound approaching the home turn.

Just Gus and Snow Matter collided soon after the start.  Zipping Laura, Oscar and Arvo's Violet collided approaching the first turn.  Just Gus and Zipping Laura collided approaching the first turn.  Snow Matter, Zipping Laura and Arvo's Violet collided on the first turn severely checking Snow Matter and Zipping Laura. Smooth Silver and Radley's Reality collided approaching the home turn.

Honchomatic was slow to begin.  Second Dan, Brandeen Kimba, Lightning Lil, Dargo Dasher and Murrabit Betty collided approaching the first turn checking Brandeen Kimba, Dargo Dasher and Lightning Lil.  Dargo Dasher brushed the running rail on the first turn.  Second Dan and Highfield Flirt collided on the first turn checking Second Dan.  Highfield Flirt galloped on the heels of Emperor Cruz entering the home straight.

Mr. R. Minarelli, handler of Lovey declared a new weight of 27.9kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Lovey last raced at 26.4kgs.

Alexanderia was quick to begin.  Map It Out and Willowvale Wings collided soon after the start.  Lovey and Willowvale Wings collided approaching the first turn.  Uncool Albert and Map It Out collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn.  Lovey and Willowvale Wings collided on the first turn checking Willowvale Wings.

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Carter, the trainer of the greyhound Why Not Dawn regarding the greyhound's racing action in the home straight and approaching the winning post.  After viewing all available footage including the head-on vision, Stewards took no further action.

Gunfighter, Lucky Andy and Barnie's Blaster were slow to begin.  Bound For Alice checked off Lil' Fiesty approaching the first turn.  Bound For Alice, Claretown Happy and Midnight Boom collided approaching the first turn checking Claretown Happy and Midnight Boom.  Bound For Alice and Lucky Andy collided approaching the home turn.  Bound For Alice checked off Barnie's Blaster approaching the home turn.  Gunfighter checked off Bound For Alice approaching the home turn.  Lil' Fiesty and Barnie's Blaster collided in the home straight.

Coolan Man was slow to begin.  Simple, Diyas, Another Hope and Lyley Lass collided approaching the first turn checking Lyley Lass, Simple and Another Hope.  Diyas crossed to the outside approaching the home turn causing Renajohn to gallop on the heels of Diyas, severely checking both greyhounds.

Nat was slow to begin.  Scoop Jackson, Turbo Injected, Mr. Nasty Time and Miz Josie collided approaching the first turn checking Miz Josie and Mr. Nasty Time.  Miz Josie and Mr. Nasty Time collided on the first turn checking Miz Josie.  Scoop Jackson checked off Simply Mystic on the first turn checking Turbo Injected and causing Scoop Jackson to race wide; Scoop Jackson caused Nat to race wide as a result.  Simply Mystic checked off Wilbur on the first turn. Miz Josie and Turbo Injected collided approaching the home turn.  Wilbur lost ground over the concluding stages of the event.

Wilbur was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. L. Mitchell, the trainer of the greyhound Wilbur regarding the greyhound's performance over the concluding stages of the event.  Mr. Mitchell informed Stewards that he was intending to seek an early race request for the greyhound's next start.  Stewards noted Mr. Mitchell's comments and took no further action.

Satisfactory Trial Results

Bliss Street trialled over the 400 metre distance from box 2, weight 34.0kgs (new declared weight).  The greyhound was placed 2nd, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.62.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 5.5 lengths.  Bliss Street was not cleared.
