Steamy Unplugged and Seabrook Indi were quick to begin. Jarvis Jet and Smouldering Coal collided soon after the start, checking both greyhounds. Seabrook Indi and Steamy Unplugged collided approaching the first turn, checking You Dance, Magic Me and Steamy Unplugged. You Dance and Call Me Loulou collided on the first turn. Magic Me and Smouldering Coal collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Smouldering Coal galloped on the heels of Magic Me approaching the home turn, severely checking both greyhounds and causing Smouldering Coal to stumble. You Dance checked off Thor's Crest and collided with Call Me Loulou on the home turn, checking Call Me Loulou. Jarvis Jet and You Dance collided several times in the home straight.
