A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Instant Allen, a post race sample was subsequently taken.
Wot Price Flash was slow to begin. Bourbon An Kahn and Moore Of Darcy collided soon after the start checking Bourbon An Kahn. Instant Allen and Phillip Keeping collided approaching the first turn checking Phillip Keeping and Elswyk Max. Phillip Keeping and Bourbon An Kahn collided on the first turn. Dozer Tron was checked off Moore Of Darcy on the first turn. Wot Price Flash eased approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Allen the trainer of the greyhound Wot Price Flash regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post. Wot Price Flash was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left monkey muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) the Stewards charged Wot Price Flash with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury. Mr. Allen pleaded guilty to the charge, Wot Price Flash was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
