Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Virtue, the trainer of Banjo Bomber regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Banjo Bomber last raced on 28 May 2016 and is returning after having a virus and a spell.
Mr. I. Newcombe, trainer of Sharkies Arrow declared a new weight of 35.7kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Sharkies Arrow last raced at 34.4kg.
Burnt Orange and Usain Gilbert were quick to begin. Kelly Hook was slow to begin. Kelly Hook, Banjo Bomber and Renberg collided soon after the start. Kelly Hook and Renberg collided approaching the first turn severely checking Renberg which stumbled. Banjo Bomber was checked off Usain Gilbert approaching the home turn. Diamond Vee, Banjo Bomber and Usain Gilbert collided in the home straight checking Usain Gilbert.
