Shake 'Em Up, Big Black Jack and Boris Winslow were slow to begin.  Chelsea Drogba, Delightful Jen and Miss Capone collided soon after the start checking Chelsea Drogba and Delightful Jen.  Lektra Allan, Shake 'Em Up and Mendacious Lad collided approaching the first turn checking Shake 'Em Up and Mendacious Lad.  Lektra Allan checked off Miss Capone on the first turn checking Chelsea Drogba, Boris Winslow and Delightful Jen.  Big Black Jack checked off Mendacious Lad approaching the home turn checking Chelsea Drogba.  MIss Capone and Big Black Jack raced wide on the home turn.  Shake 'Em Up and Mendacious Lad collided on the home turn checking Shake 'Em Up.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Westbrook, trainer of Delightful Jen and reminded him of his responsibilities in regards to following the starters instructions whilst boxing.

Bobby Tron was quick to begin.  Courting Time, Maserati Rev and Oh Lele Suzi collided soon after the start checking Maserati Rev.  Busby Boy crossed to the rail soon after the start checking My Birthday, Dutch Schultz, Cosmic Lacey and Maserati Rev.  Oh Lele Suzi, Cosmic Lacey and My Birthday collided approaching the first turn checking My Birthday and severely checking Oh Lele Suzi and Cosmic Lacey.  Maserati Rev raced wide on the home turn.  Courting Time, Maserati Rev and Dutch Schultz raced wide entering the home straight.  Maserati Rev raced wide in the home straight.

Nancy May and Hurricane Bertha were slow to begin.  Let Rip Andy was very slow to begin (2 lengths).  Giddy Up checked off Flyin' Les Fergi approaching the first turn.  Nancy May, Splitting Cobra, Magic Max and Hurricane Bertha collided on the first turn checking Splitting Cobra and Magic Max.  Splitting Cobra and Magic Max collided approaching the second turn checking Splitting Cobra.

Go Lakers Go was slow to begin.  Karaoke Ken, Oh Lele Simon and Contrive collided soon after the start checking Karaoke Ken and Oh Lele Simon.  Contrive checked off Oriental Lord approaching the first turn.  Lektra Glitter checked off Oriental Lord approaching the first turn checking Contrive and Lektra Glitter.  Oh Lele Simon clipped the heels of Lektra Glitter approaching the home turn severely checking both greyhounds.  Go Lakers Go checked off Oriental Lord in the home straight causing Go Lakers Go to race wide.  Lektra Glitter checked off Oh Lele Simon in the home straight.  Patchie Anchor and Contrive collided approaching the winning post checking Patchie Anchor.

Da Swan and Uno Krypto were slow to begin and collided soon after the start severely checking Uno Krypto which stumbled and lost ground as a result.  Da Swam checked off Spring Drifter on the first turn.  Spring Drifter checked off Nuggy Burger on the second turn.  Nuggy Burger and Spring Drifter collided in the home straight.  Da Swan crossed to the outside in the home straight and raced wide as a result.

Da Swan was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right thigh.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Uno Krypto was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Big Bad Bone and Cosmic Madness were slow to begin.  Thunderous Night, Lister Bale and Rich Azz Yeew collided approaching the first turn checking Lister Bale.  Lektra Khan and Creamy Soda collided approaching the first turn.  Big Bad Bone, Thunderous Night and Rich Azz Yeew collided on the first turn checking Thunderous Night, Rich Azz Yeew and Cosmic Madness.  Lister Bale checked off Big Bad Bone approaching the home turn.

Taxi was a late scratching at 12:04pm by Order of Stewards after the greyhound was no presented at kennelling time. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Miss Mandy Shaw, the respresentative of  Mr Campbells greyhounds engaged at Ballarat and also the trainer, Mr Glenn Campbell via telephone link up.  After hearing evidence from Miss Shaw and Mr Campbell, stewards charged Mr Campbell with a breach of rule 86 (o) in that he failed to present the greyhound Taxi for this event which in the opinion of Stewards was negligent and resulted in the late scratching of Taxi.  Mr Campbell pleaded guilty to the charge and was found guilty and fined the sum of $200.

Holly Jane was slow to begin.  Emi's Boy Macca and Super Patricia collided soon after the start.  Baroness Tiffie and Selynya Kev collided approaching the first turn.  Dana Archie and Stolen Gem collided on the first turn.  Dana Archie and Super Patricia collided approaching the home turn checking Dana Archie.

Be Hopeful and Gorbachev were slow to begin.  Rapid Boy, Be Hopeful and Pentapod collided approaching the first turn checking Be Hopeful and Pentapod.  Cazar Rose checked off Pen Shaw in the back straight.  Pentapod and Cazar Rose collided approaching the second turn checking Pentapod.  Rapid Boy and Gorbachev collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Pentapod and Cazar Rose collided on the home turn checking Cazar Rose.  Spreading Rumors raced wide in the home straight.  Beau Mambo tired over the concluding stages of the event.

Beau Mambo was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Miracle Maggie, Bigboy Brownless and Kayla's Effort were slow to begin.  That Acid Summer and Four Four Two collided soon after the start checking Four Four Two.  Miracle Maggie checked off Oscar approaching the first turn.  Don's Shy Girl and Hoi Polloi collided approaching the first turn.  Miracle Maggie and Kayla's Effort collided approaching the home turn checking Kayla's Effort.  Don's Shy Girl and Hoi Polloi collided approaching the home turn checking Hoi Polloi and Oscar.  That Acid Summer and Bigboy Brownless collided on the home turn checking Bigboy Brownless.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. H. Gates, regarding her difficulty in boxing the greyhound Four Four Two.  Stewards directed that Four Four Two be boxed first in future events.

Stewards spoke to Mrs J Brouwer, representative of the greyhound Rellim Moola in regards to the extended period of time between the greyhound's races.  Rellim Moola last raced on the 24th May 2015 and previously to that on the 13th July 2014.  Mrs Brouwer stated that Rellim Moola was returning to racing after a change of kennel and trainer.  Rellim Moola was also given a lengthy spell to freshen the dog and allow it time to recover from a back injury. Stewards noted Mrs Brouwer's explanation.

Rellim Moola was slow to begin.  Stressful checked off Blossom Noir soon after the start.  Gelwix, Regal Cleo, Blossom Noir and Roll 'Em Dainty collided approaching the first turn checking Gelwix and Roll 'Em Dainty and severely checking Blossom Noir and Regal Cleo.  Gelwix and Rellim Moola collided approaching the home turn checking Rellim Moola.  Rellim Moola and Roll 'Em Dainty collided on the home turn.

Jill Laker was quick to begin.  Bryce's Boy and Carlanna Lois were slow to begin.  Typhoon Blake, Rat Tail Jimmy and Blue Jager Light collided soon after the start checking Typhoon Blake.  Bryce's Boy checked off Jem's Princess approaching the first turn.  Carlanna Lois and Rat Tail Jimmy collided on the home turn.  Typhoon Blake raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Typhoon Blake was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right thigh.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Locked Out was slow to begin.  Lipstick Stain, Ben Wigan and Deadly Pace collided soon after the start checking Lipstick Stain and Ben Wigan.  Elite Circle checked off Mahogany Diamond approaching the first turn checking Lipstick Stain and Ben Wigan.  Mahogany Diamond and Sparkling Kitty collided on the first turn checking Mahogany Diamond.  Sparkling Kitty and Locked Out collided several times on the home turn checking both greyhounds.

Satisfactory Trials - Whelping

Don's Wild Child was vetted prior to trialling and passed fit to race.

Don's Wild Child trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 1, weight 25.3kgs.  The greyhound was placed 1st, in a field of 2.  The time of the trial was 22.96.  The greyhound won by a margin of 1.25 lengths.  Don's Wild Child was cleared.

Cosmic Don was vetted prior to trialling and passed fit to race.

Cosmic Don trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 3, weight 23.1kgs.  The greyhound was placed 2nd, in a field of 2.  The time of the trial was 22.96.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1.25 lengths.  Cosmic Don was cleared.
