Cosmic Lily was quick to begin. Highbury checked off In A Daze soon after the start. Derby Magic checked off Oaklands approaching the first turn. Champer Bale checked off Cosmic Lily on the first turn, checking Mr Fox, severely checking Derby Magic and Champer Bale. Champer Bale clipped the heels of In A Daze approaching the home turn, checking Highbury and causing Champer Bale to fall.
