Steward's Report
A pre race sample was taken from Lektra Jewel.
Lektra Jewel, Tear Away Kuda and Beyond The Vally were slow to begin. Mepunga Atom was quick to begin. Lektra Jewel, Maximum Melva and Mag Spring collided approaching the first turn. Beyond The Vally and Mag Spring collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Mepunga Atom eased on the home turn.
Stewards spoke to Mr. A. McDowall, the handler of the greyhound Mepunga Atom regarding the greyhounds racing manners on home turn. Mepung Atom was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a injury to the right triangle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Mepunga Atom with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. McDowall pleaded guilty to the charge, Mepunga Atom was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
Meeting Comments:
Satisfactory Trial Results - Podium Finish trialled over the 390m from box six, weight 31.2kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four. The time of the trial was 22.28, the greyhound won by a margin of 8 lengths. Podium Finish was Cleared.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. Greg Turnbull for his failure to retrieve the greyhounds Jacana (race 2) and Ripmac (race 3) from their respective kennels by the appointed time.
