Stewards were advised that the track was medium harrowed on Monday 24 August.
Transkei Warrior was a late scratching at 8.34am due to injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Cosmic Jewel and Early Violet were quick to begin.
Shanks Very Much and Aston Cruz collided soon after the start. Early Violet crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Soul Affair.
