Beyond The Vally was slow to begin. Jem's Princess and Carlanna Sharna collided soon after the start checking Jem's Princess. Slick Sam checked off Baroness Tippy on the first turn. Carlanna Lois and Slick Sam collided approaching the home turn. Carlanna Sharna and Beyond The Vally collided approaching the home turn. Carlanna Sharna checked off Beyond The Vally approaching the home turn checking Carlanna Lois which caused Carlanna Sharna and Blue Light Jager to collide; Blue Light Jager was checked and Carlanna Sharna was severely checked as a result. Slick Sam and Jem's Princess collided on the home turn checking Slick Sam and Blue Light Jager. Super Patricia and Beyond The Vally collided in the home straight.
Carlanna Sharna was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left shoulder. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
