Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to the trainer of Good Old Oscar, Mr. P Cusack prior to the meeting and asceratined that the greyhound had not started in a race since 09.02.2015 due to two dropped back muscles. Mr. Cusack added that the greyhound had been coursing of late at Benalla, Longwood and Lang Lang. Stewards noted Mr. Cusack's explanation.
Stewards spoke to the representative of Kennel Princess, Mr N Punshon prior to the meeting and asceratined that the greyhound had not started in a race since 19.01.2015 due to a virus in the kennels and a season. Stewards noted Mr. Punshon's explanation.
Good Old Oscar and Jules Norris were slow to begin. Kennel Princess, Hugh Made Who and Pep Cee Kola collided soon after the start. Jukebox Hero and Deceptive Size collided approaching the 250m mark.
Good Old Oscar was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained lower back soreness, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Deceptive Size was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injured left and right wrists and right triceps, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Kennel Princess was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
MEETING CONDITIONS:
Satisfactory Trial Results - Bit Chili Billie trialled over the 350m from box 8, weight 30.1kgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 19.78, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 11.5 lengths. Bit Chili Billie was not cleared.
