Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr J Collins, representative of the greyhound Leopold Bale in regards to the extended period of time between the greyhound's races. Leopold Bale last raced on the 13th March 2015. Mr Collins stated that Leopold Bale was returning to race after a transfer of kennel and a new trainer. Stewards noted Mr Collins's explanation.
Mr J Collins, representative of Leoplod Bale redeclared a new weight of 32.8 kg's for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Leopold Bale last raced at 34.4 kgs.
Scrubby Nichols was quick to begin. Miss Petrova was slow to begin. Dory Bale, Leopold Bale and Jack Winter collided soon after the start, checking Leopold Bale. Ready Jet Go, Silent Fletch and High Mission collided soon after the start, checking Silent Fletch and High Mission. Leopold Bale lost ground approaching the first turn. Dory Bale and Scrubby Nichols collided on the first turn, checking Scrubby Nichols, Ready Jet Go and Silent Fletch, Ready Jet Go and Silent Fletch raced wide as a result. Silent Fletch checked off Ready Jet Go approaching the home turn. Ready Jet Go and Jack Winter raced wide on the home turn. Leopold Bale checked off Silent Fletch entering the home straight. Leopold Bale raced wide in the home straight.
Leopold Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
