Steward's spoke to the representative of the greyhound Jacko Lankan, Mr. J. Clarke, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between starts. Mr. Clarke stated that it was decided after a lengthy spell to not retire the greyhound and bring him back for one last preperation.
Jacko Lankan was slow to begin. Boom Boom Shiraz and Dyso Matt collided approaching the first turn. Me The Chief checked off Miss Latoya approaching the second turn, checking Dyso Matt. Dyso Matt and Jacko Lankan collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn. Jacko Lankan and Dyso Matt collided several times in the home straight. Jacko Lankan, Boom Boom Shiraz and Dyso Matt collided approaching the winning post.
