Dr. Trojan and Letron James were slow to begin. Wince Allen and Vic For Short collided soon after the start. Wince Allen and Kon El collided on the first turn, checking Wince Allen, Wise Cherry and Kon El. Wise Cherry and Letron James collided on the first turn, causing Letron James to race wide. Wise Cherry and Letron James collided on the third turn. 

Dr. Ragnar and Sports Knight were slow to begin. One For Me, Sports Knight, Go Wild Brodie and Lachlan's Rough collided soon after the start, checking One For Me and Sports Knight. Go Wild Brodie and Lachlan's Rough collided approaching the first turn, checking Go Wild Brodie, One For Me and Sports Knight. Crave checked off Dream Date on the first turn, checking Allen Kentucky and Dr. Ragnar; causing Dr. Ragnar to race wide. Lachlan's Rough and Crave collided on the third turn, severely checking Lachlan's Rough, Go Wild Brodie and One For Me. 

Sports Knight was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to the left hind foot, no stand down period was imposed. 

Alpha David, Coffee Elizabeth and Rise Above It collided soon after the start, checking Alpha David and Coffee Elizabeth. Dr. Nicholas, Crying In Vegas and Moonlit Wings collided on the first turn. Rise Above It checked off Moonlit Wings on the first turn, checking Alpha David and Coffee Elizabeth. Crying In Vegas and Dr. Nicholas collided approaching the home turn. Moonlit Wings checked off Dr. Nicholas on the home turn. 

Alpha David was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right shoulder muscle, right triangle muscle and left wrist, a fourteen day stand down period was imposed. 

Wise Harvey and Diegonator were quick to begin. Desperate Pete, Dr. Lachie, Kansas Bale and Melos Girlfriend collided approaching the first turn, checking Dr. Lachie and Kansas Bale, and severely checking Melos Girlfriend which stumbled. Wise Harvey and Cool Dude Roy collided approaching the first turn, checking Cool Dude Roy and Trewmann. Cool Dude Roy and Trewmann collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Kansas Bale and Dr. Lachie collided approaching the home turn. 

Melos Girlfriend was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Kokoda Moon and Rogernator collided in the front straight. Rogernator checked off Destinee Saint approaching the third turn. Chivalry, Jet Mikado , Destinee Saint and Rogernator collided approaching the home turn. Jet Mikado and Destinee Saint collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight. Jet Mikado and Destinee Saint collided approaching the winning post.

Daintree Puzzle was quick to begin. Sir Charleton and Rugall collided soon after the start. Young Henry and Dewana Babe collided soon after the start. Shanlyn Violet, Lever Action, Sir Charleton, Rugall, Young Henry, Dewana Babe and Mepunga Rosie collided on the first turn, checking Lever Action, Sir Charleton, Rugall, Mepunga Rosie, Young Henry and Dewana Babe. Lever Action checked off Sir Charleton entering the front straight, checking Sir Charleton and Dewana Babe. Shanlyn Violet and Rugall collided approaching the second turn, checking Shanlyn Violet. Why Not Les was quick to begin. Bahama Bay was slow to begin. Tollbar and Absolute Power collided soon after the start. I'm So Late and Tollbar collided on the first turn.

Our Cadel and Child's Dream were slow to begin. Mr. Stealer and Dr. Shiki collided soon after the start. Cosmic Jewel and Takedown collided approaching the first turn. Cosmic Jewel, Mr. Stealer, Takedown and Dr. Shiki collided on the first turn, checking Takedown and Dr. Shiki. Our Cadel checked off Cosmic Jewel entering the back straight. Our Cadel and Mr. Stealer collided approaching the home turn, checking Takedown; causing Mr. Stealer to fall. 

Mr. Stealer was vetted following the event. It was reported that there is no apparent injury found. 

Stewards spoke to trainer of the greyhound Mr. Stealer, Mr. S. Drummond, regarding his behaviour behind the boxes after his greyhound fell on the home turn, and issued him with the severe reprimand. 

Zarko's Dream was quick to begin. Charlie Pearce was slow to begin. Zipping Gilbert checked off Shattered Ice approaching the first turn. In This Way, Zarko's Dream and Charlie Pearce collided on the first turn, checking Charlie Pearce, Zipping Gilbert and Ester Bale. Charlie Pearce checked off Zarko's Dream on the second turn. Shattered Ice and Dashing Roman collided in the back straight. In This Way, Zarko's Dream and Charlie Pearce collided approaching the third turn, checking In This Way and Zarko's Dream. In This Way, Zarko's Dream, Dr. Samson and Ester Bale collided on the home turn. In This Way and Zarko's Dream collided in the home straight, checking Zarko's Dream. 

Steward's spoke to the representative of the greyhound Jacko Lankan, Mr. J. Clarke, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between starts. Mr. Clarke stated that it was decided after a lengthy spell to not retire the greyhound and bring him back for one last preperation. 

Jacko Lankan was slow to begin. Boom Boom Shiraz and Dyso Matt collided approaching the first turn. Me The Chief checked off Miss Latoya approaching the second turn, checking Dyso Matt. Dyso Matt and Jacko Lankan collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn. Jacko Lankan and Dyso Matt collided several times in the home straight. Jacko Lankan, Boom Boom Shiraz and Dyso Matt collided approaching the winning post.
