Stewards spoke to Mr R Gavin, trainer of the greyhound Another Halo in regards to the extended period of time between the greyhound's races.  Another Halo last raced on the 16th April, 2015.  Mr Gavin stated that Another Halo was returning to race after suffering a metatarsal injury.  Stewards noted Mr Gavin's explanation.

Kirabilli Ronan was slow to begin. Pop Always Said and Eumeralla Flash collided soon after the start, checking Pop Always Said. Mepunga Atom, Eumeralla Flash and Logic Lad collided approaching the first turn, checking Another Halo. Another halo checked off Pop Always Said on the first turn. Logic Lad, Eumeralla Flash and Mepunga Atom collided on the first turn, checking Mepunga Atom and Eumeralla Flash. Eumeralla Flash, Premier Yap and Logic Lad collided on the home turn, checking Eumerlla Flash, Premier Yap and Pop Always Said. Mepunga Atom and Eumerlla Flash collided in the home straight. Premier Yap and Maximum Melva collided in the home straight, checking Premier Yap. Premier Yap cramped approaching the winning post and fell as a result. Another Halo tired over the concluding stage of the event. 

Another Halo was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Premier Yap was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained cramping, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Boers, the trainer of the greyhound Premier Yap.  Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp), Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
