A pre-race sample was taken from Cool Cred. Sisco Hero was quick to begin. Chic Shiraz, Mrs. Freeze and Dewana Sienna were slow to begin. Mrs. Freeze and Dongy collided soon after the start checking Mrs. Freeze. Dongy and Paris Montana collided approaching the first turn checking Paris Montana. Chic Shiraz and Dongy collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Sisco Hero and Sisco Turbo collided on the first turn checking Sisco Turbo. Dongy and Chic Shiraz collided approaching the second turn checking Chic Shiraz. Sisco Hero and Sisco Turbo collided on the second turn checking Sisco Turbo. Dongy was checked off Sisco Turbo approaching the third turn. Chic Shiraz and Paris Montana collided on the fourth turn checking Paris Montana. Paris Montana was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a small laceration to the head, no stand down period was imposed.
