Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Bailey, the trainer of Select Daniel regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Select Daniel last raced on 26th June, 2016.  Mr. Bailey stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a left hock injury.

Tilly Court was a late scratching at 5:30 pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer Mr. B. Harper was fined the sum of $100.

Mr. E. Lieshout, trainer of Aston Sloan declared a new weight of 32.8kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Aston Sloan last raced at 31.7kgs.

Omega Sniper and Aston Sloan were quick to begin.  Up The Attitude, Eduardo Rose and Tumble And Dry were slow to begin.  Mint Burst, Eduardo Rose and Tumble And Dry collided soon after the start checking Mint Burst.  Up The Attitude and Mint Burst collided approaching the first turn checking Mint Burst.  Up The Attitude galloped on Full Of Attitude on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Full Of Attitude and Up The Attitude collided approaching the home turn.  Mint Burst and Tumble And Dry raced wide on the home turn.

Aston Philou was quick to begin.  Zipping Frank was slow to begin.  Fleet Return and Winterstein collided approaching the first turn.  Winterstein galloped on Allen Punter on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Allen Punter and Kerrie's One collided on the first turn checking Fleet Return.  Precipitation and Hundred collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Kerrie's One and Winterstein collided approaching the home turn checking Kerrie's One.  Precipitation and Zipping Frank collided in the home straight.
