A pre race sample was taken from Raweenie.
Raweenie was slow to begin. Dashing Dream and Raweenie collided on the first turn. Randy Fields contacted the running rail on the first turn. Harvey Mills, Heleray Mootay, Aston Jadeite and It's All Over collided on the first turn, checking Heleray Mootay and severely checking Aston Jadeite and It's All Over. Raweenie checked off Aston Jadeite and collided with It's All Over approaching the home turn, checking It's All Over, Dashing Dream and Coli's Girl, and severely checking Randy Fields and Raweenie. Coli's Girl raced wide in the home straight.
Randy Fields was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to the left hind leg, a three day stand down period was imposed.
Raweenie was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
