Stewards spoke to Ms. T. Jones, trainer of Fashion Boots regarding the number of starts the greyhound has had recently.  Ms. Jones stated that Fashion Boots has recovered well after each race and added that the greyhound is checked on a regular basis by her vet.  Ms. Jones further added that Fashion Boots is not entered until Sunday 2nd of October and will have a short spell after it's next start.

Fashion Boots, Limburg Princess, Flaming Causeway and Boom Clap collided soon after the start.  Maestro Destini crossed to the inside soon after the start checking Hamilton and Flaming Causeway.  Fashion Boots and Boom Clap collided on the first turn.  Flaming Causeway checked off Boom Clap approaching the home turn and collided with Hamilton.  Crackerjack Surf checked off Fashion Boots on the home turn.  Limburg Princess raced wide in the home straight.

Limburg Gunna was quick to begin.  Cosmic Moments and Prestwick were slow to begin.  Limburg Gunna, Azza and Roman Around collided approaching the first turn checking Azza.  Roman Around checked off Limburg Gunna on the first turn.  Prestwick checked off Azza on the first turn.

A pre-race sample was taken from Bryden Curly.

Nikita's Marlow was quick to begin.  Izgrev was slow to begin.  Bryden Curly checked off Daintree Alice on the first turn.  Bryden Curly and Nikita's Marlow collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.

Nikita's Marlow was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its right hock and right thigh.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Pirlo and Roadrunner Thief collided soon after the start.  Gunsblaze, Sutton Club and Roadrunner Thief collided approaching the first turn.  Roadrunner Thief and Noaki Phoenix collided on the first turn.  Frozen Nitro eased approaching the second turn checking Noaki Phoenix.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Sayle, the trainer of the greyhound Frozen Nitro regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the second turn.  Frozen Nitro was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 7, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right monkey muscle.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Frozen Nitro with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Sayle pleaded guilty to the charge.  Frozen Nitro was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound  perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Dawn Cruise was slow to begin.  Dawn Cruise and Lady Lurcher collided soon after the start.  Morning Cruise, Lady Lurcher and My Dolly Molly collided approaching the first turn checking Lady Lurcher and My Dolly Molly.  Brazen Escape and Dawn Cruise collided on the first turn checking Dawn Cruise.  Morning Cruise and India Pale collided on the first turn checking India Pale.  Brazen Escape checked off Selynya Flash on the first turn.  Dawn Cruise checked off India Pale on the home turn checking My Dolly Molly.  Selynya Flash raced wide on the home turn.  India Pale raced wide on the home turn checking My Dolly Molly.

Ginger Speed and Maximum Bella collided soon after the start.  Alchemist Quest checked off Minority soon after the start.  Maximum Melva checked off Coopnarcha approaching the first turn.  Coopnarcha and Minority collided on the first turn.  Ginger Speed, Alchemist Quest and Maximum Bella collided on the first turn checking Ginger Speed and Maximum Bella.  Minority raced wide entering the home straight and collided with Maximum Melva.

Carly Jay was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its left hip and left wrist.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Cruisy's Luck was quick to begin.  Allen Journo, Zall Over and Time Taker collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn checking Allen Journo and Zall Over.  Dynamo's Gift checked off Time Taker on the first turn.  Time Taker checked off Mr. Leigh approaching the home turn checking Dynamo's Gift.  Zall Over checked off Time Taker approaching the home turn checking Dynamo's Gift.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Darby regarding the direction  that the greyhound Dynamo's Gift be boxed first.  Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.

Crackerjack Roy and Country Flash collided soon after the start.  Moreira Magic, Platinum Force and Spring Alis collided soon after the start.  Crackerjack Roy, Country Flash and Moreira Magic collided approaching the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  Moreira Magic checked off Crackerjack Roy on the first turn.  Patch Lane raced wide entering the home straight.  Platinum Force raced wide entering the home straight.

Moreira Magic was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

High Success and Corgi Cry were quick to begin.  Rocket Riley was slow to begin and crossed to the outside soon after the start.  Sunningdale checked off Molly Walker on the first turn.  Boris Lee and High Success collided on the first turn.  High Success checked off Molly Walker entering the home straight.  Rocket Riley raced wide entering the home straight.  Corgi Cry checked off Boris Lee in the home straight,.

Satisfactory Trial Results

Hae Allen trialled over the 460 metre distance from box 1, weight 25.2kgs.  The greyhound was placed 1st, in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 25.76.  The greyhound won by a margin of 4.5 lengths.  Hae Allen was cleared.

Penalty Bale trialled over the 460 metre distance from box 3, weight 30.7kgs.  The greyhound was placed 3rd, in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 25.76.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 5.5 lengths.  Penalty Bale was cleared.
