Steward's Report
Pirlo and Roadrunner Thief collided soon after the start. Gunsblaze, Sutton Club and Roadrunner Thief collided approaching the first turn. Roadrunner Thief and Noaki Phoenix collided on the first turn. Frozen Nitro eased approaching the second turn checking Noaki Phoenix.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Sayle, the trainer of the greyhound Frozen Nitro regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the second turn. Frozen Nitro was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 7, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right monkey muscle. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Frozen Nitro with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Sayle pleaded guilty to the charge. Frozen Nitro was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
