Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Ms. T. Jones, the representative of Carly Jay regarding the number of starts the greyhound has had recently. Ms. Jones stated that Carly Jay has recovered well after each race and added that the greyhound is checked on a regular basis by her vet. Ms. Jones further added that Carly Jay will undergo a short spell after today's race.
Ginger Speed and Maximum Bella collided soon after the start. Alchemist Quest checked off Minority soon after the start. Maximum Melva checked off Coopnarcha approaching the first turn. Coopnarcha and Minority collided on the first turn. Ginger Speed, Alchemist Quest and Maximum Bella collided on the first turn checking Ginger Speed and Maximum Bella. Minority raced wide entering the home straight and collided with Maximum Melva.
Carly Jay was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its left hip and left wrist. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
