Steward's Report
Stewards were advised by Ms. T. Womann the trainer of Miss Mayflower regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Miss Mayflower last raced on 07/04/16. Ms. Womann stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a fractured left hock and being on season.
Kayo King was slow to begin. Miss Mayflower was checked off Henry Lee approaching the first turn causing Miss Mayflower and Kayo King to collide. Miss Mayflower was checked off Hot Blooded on the first turn. Kayo King was checked off Henry Lee on the first turn. Henry Lee was checked off Flip on the first turn. Hot Blooded and Bel Air Mist collided on the first turn checking Hot Blooded which faltered and subsequently tailed off. Bel Air Mist and Why Not Mick collided entering the home straight.
Hot Blooded was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right back muscle, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.
