Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mrs. P. Terry the trainer of King Kai regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. King Kai last raced on 14/06/16. Mrs. Terry stated the greyhound was returning to racing following a change of kennel.
Vienna Pink, Daintree King and No Road were slow to begin. Daintree King crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Milly's Way. No Road crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Vienna Pink and Daintree King and severley checking Lunchmoney Lewis which hit the running rail. No Road galloped on Milly's Way on the first turn. Milly's Way and No Road collided approaching the home turn checking Milly's Way. Vienna Pink and King Kai raced wide in the home straight.
Lunchmoney Lewis was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left triangle muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
A sample was taken from King Kai - winner of the event.
