Steward's Report
Miss Springer was a late scratching at 3.25pm by Order of Stewards after the handler Ms. V. Watson failed to present the correct greyhound to the Stewards at kennelling. Stewards subsequently charged Ms. Watson with the breach of GAR 31(1), Ms. Watson pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined the sum of $250.
A pre-race sample was taken from Come To Play.
Dr. Dunstan and Evil Currency were slow to begin. Kimba Katani crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Come To Play and severley checking Dr. Dunstan which stumbled as a result. Evil Currency crossed to the rail approaching the first turn severley checking Kimba Katani. Come To Play and Evil Currency collided on the first turn. Evil Currency was checked off Come To Play approaching the home turn.
A sample was taken from Select Opal - winner of the event.

Jonny Bravo trialled over 395 metres from box 2, weight 32.0kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.66 secs, the greyhound won by a margin of 15.5 lengths. Jonny Bravo was cleared.
