Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Carr the trainer of Chase Outlaw regarding the length of time the greyhound has been between races.  Chase Outlaw last raced on 05/06/16.  Mr. Carr stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a change in kennel.

Majestic Mia and Aston Nafretiti were quick to begin.  Bekim's Elite, Chase Outlaw and Spazzy Blue were slow to begin.  Bekim's Elite crossed to the outside on the first turn and raced wide for the remander of the event.

Stewards spoke to Ms. V. Wisener the trainer of Full Of Attitude regarding the length of time the greyhound has been between races.  Full Of Attitude last raced on 28/04/16.  Ms. Wisener stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following being on season.

Wot Price Flash and Full Of Attitude were slow to begin.  Lloyd Street, Nitro Hook, Full Of Attitude and Hit Legs collided approaching the first turn checking Nitro Hook, Full Of Attitude and Hit Legs.  Jai Alai crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Elswyk Max.  Nitro Hook galloped on Elswyk Max on the first turn checking Nitro Hook and severley checking Elswyk Max which stumbled.  Hit Legs galloped on Lloyd Street approaching the home turn.

Nitro Hook was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a dislocated toe on the left hind foot and a spike wound to the left hind toe, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Smokester was a late scratching at 2.55pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to a torn nail on the left hind toe, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Henry and Toshulan were quick to begin.  Paua Invader and Soda Storm were slow to begin.  Ballymac Gunnar and Apollo's Twin collided approaching the first turn.  Apollo's Twin and Walk Woody Walk collided on the first turn checking Ballymac Gunnar, Paua Invader, Walk Woody Walk and Soda Storm.  Ballymac Gunnar and Soda Storm collided entering the back straight checking Ballymac Gunnar.

Don't Argue was a late scratching at 3.15pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to a laceration on a toe on the right front foot, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Neo Ha Ha was quick to begin.  Simone's Magic was slow to begin.  Dr. Eleonora was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Hurricane Sam was very slow to begin (4 lengths).  Wild Hunny was checked off Hello Nimble on the first turn.  Simone's Magic raced wide on the first turn.  Hello Nimble and Dr. Eleonora collided approaching the winning post.

Stewards noted the muzzle of Hello Nimble became dislodged during the event.

Stewards spoke to P. Romagnino regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Hello Nimble.  Stewards directed that Hello Nimble be boxed first in future events - GAR 52(2).

Miss Springer was a late scratching at 3.25pm by Order of Stewards after the handler Ms. V. Watson failed to present the correct greyhound to the Stewards at kennelling.  Stewards subsequently charged Ms. Watson with the breach of  GAR 31(1), Ms. Watson pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined the sum of $250.

Dr. Dunstan and Evil Currency were slow to begin.  Kimba Katani crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Come To Play and severley checking Dr. Dunstan which stumbled as a result.  Evil Currency crossed to the rail approaching the first turn severley checking Kimba Katani.  Come To Play and Evil Currency collided on the first turn.  Evil Currency was checked off Come To Play approaching the home turn.

Jonny Bravo trialled over 395 metres from box 2, weight 32.0kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.66 secs, the greyhound won by a margin of 15.5 lengths.  Jonny Bravo was cleared.
