Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Vicki Morris upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Mr. T. Noy, trainer of Roll 'Em High declared a new weight of 30.0kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Roll 'Em High last raced at 28.4kgs.
A pre race sample was taken from Tricky Tezza.
Forever Loved was quick to begin. Ariki Whero was slow to begin. Platinum Force and Scot's Dunker collided soon after the start checking Platinum Force. Ariki Whero and Vicki Morris collided approaching the first turn. Tricky Tezza and Scot's Dunker collided on the first turn checking Roll 'Em High. Ariki Whero, Stress Star and Vicki Morris collided approaching the home turn checking Stress Star and severely checking Vicki Morris.
Vicki Morris was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abraded right front pad and a right back muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Noy regarding his failure to disengage the lead from the greyhound Roll Em' High resulting in the lead being boxed with the greyhound. Stewards accepted Mr. Noy's explanation however reminded him of his responsibilities.
