Kostya Nuffen was slow to begin.  Nirranda Hannah and Thor's Crest collided soon after the start.  Star Deli and Superior Jethro collided soon after the start.  Yad Mai, Captain's Call, Nirranda Hannah and Thor's Crest collided approaching the first turn checking Captain's Call and Nirranda Hannah.  Yad Mai checked off Thor's Crest approaching the home turn.  Kostya Nuffen and Nirranda Hannah collided approaching the home turn checking Nirranda Hannah.  Nirranda Hannah and Superior Jethro collided on the home turn severely checking Nirranda Hannah which fell as a result.

Nirranda Hannah was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its left monkey and left thigh muscle.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Mr. J. Abela trainer of Kripke declared a new weight of 32.7kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Kripke last raced at 34.2kg.

Zelemar Leap, Mabuti Girl and Flying Holly were slow to begin.  Zelemar Leap and Pink Poppy collided on the first turn checking Pink Poppy. Bashful Babe and Mabuti Girl collided on the first turn checking Mabuti Girl.  Zelemar Leap checked off Kripke on the home turn.  Mabuti Girl checked off Bashful Babe approaching the winning post.

Lettuce Hold On was a late scratching at 1:43pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to an injury to its tail.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Horey's Girl and Quick Return were quick to begin.  Baron Charlie was slow to begin.  Bobby Tron and In Dee Beginning collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn checking Bobby Tron.  Rosie's Gift and Dynamite Zara collided on the home turn.

Sir Murray was slow to begin.  Irish Asteria and Claretown Sam collided soon after the start.  Tigra Tron and Roll 'Em Sharky collided on the first turn.  Tigra Tron checked off Roll 'Em Sharky entering the back straight checking Tigra Tron; Tigra Tron fell and checked Claretown Sam as a result.  Roll 'Em Sharky and Baroness Tiffie collided approaching the second turn.  Roll 'Em Sharky and Pason Sander collided on the home turn.  Sir Murray raced wide in the home straight.

The photo finish camera failed to capture an image for this event. After viewing the back up system and acting upon their own observations the Judge's confirmed the placings of 2, 4, 7 & 3. The All Clear was subsequently given on the Judge's numbers.

Tigra Tron was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its left monkey muscle and left triangle muscle.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Claretown Sam was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Forever Loved was quick to begin.  Ariki Whero was slow to begin.  Platinum Force and Scot's Dunker collided soon after the start checking Platinum Force.  Ariki Whero and Vicki Morris collided approaching the first turn.  Tricky Tezza and Scot's Dunker collided on the first turn checking Roll 'Em High.  Ariki Whero, Stress Star and Vicki Morris collided approaching the home turn checking Stress Star and severely checking Vicki Morris.

Vicki Morris was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abraded right front pad and a right back muscle injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Noy regarding his failure to disengage the lead from the greyhound Roll Em' High resulting in the lead being boxed with the greyhound. Stewards accepted Mr. Noy's explanation however reminded him of his responsibilities.

The start time for this race was rescheduled to 3:26pm due to a request from Sky Channel.

King Of Sunshine was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right hip.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Schembri regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound King Of Sunshine.  Stewards directed that King Of Sunshine be boxed first in future events.
