Steward's Report
Pre-race samples were taken from Just Red, Swift Ruby and Ultra Bright upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Kiwi Colision and Ultra Bright collided soon after the start. Just Red and Dortmunder collided soon after the start checking Just Red. Rusty Sidebottom and Invictus Glory collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. SwiftRuby, Kamatcka Kid, Dortmunder, Just Red and Ultra Bright collided approaching the home turn severely checking Just Red, severely checking Kamchatka Kid and Ultra Bright which stumbled and tailed off and severely checking Dortmunder which fell.
Dortmunder was vetted following the event. It was reported that the grehound sustained injuries to the right triangle and left groin and left monkey muscle. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.
Kamchatka Kid was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury. A stand down period of 5 days was imposed.
Ultra Bright was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right triangle injury. A stand down period of 5 days was imposed.
