Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Chatwin, the handler of Paua Invader regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Paua Indaver last raced on 1st June 2016 and is returning to race after a left back muscle injury.

Map It Out and Aston Lydia were quick to begin.  Paua Invader, Implosion Liam and Make That Call collided soon after the start.  Implosion Liam crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Paua Invader, Runnin' On Gas and Spanky's Legacy.  Pappa Gallo and Paua Invader raced wide in the home straight.

Invictus Skybird was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Ms. M. Schmidt, the trainer of the greyhound Invictus Skybird regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn.  Acting under GAR 69(1), stewards charged Invictus Skybird with marring.  Ms. Schmidt pleaded guilty to the charge.  Invictus Skybird was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Mr. R. Lesjak, trainer of Tekki Hail declared a new weight of 36.3kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Tekki Hail last raced at 37.8kgs.

Stick Hero, Hurricane Aussie and Oscar Beam were slow to begin.  Galloping Bobby was very slow to begin (12 lengths).  In Dee Beginning checked off Axel Boy approaching the first turn.  Tekki Hail checked off In Dee Beginning on the first turn.  Axel Boy and Hurricane Aussie collided on the home turn.

Galloping Bobby was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Ms. N. Lund, the trainer of the greyhound Galloping Bobby.  Stewards deemed the performance of Galloping Bobby unsatisfactory, in particular the way the greyhound exited the boxes at the start of this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Galloping Bobby must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Satisfactory Trial Results

Brooklyn Cruiser trialled over the 400 metre distance from box 1, weight 29.4kgs.  The greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.88.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3.25 lengths.  Brooklyn Cruiser was cleared. 

Tango Princess trialled over the 400 metre distance from box 2, weight 27.4kgs.  The greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.88. The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 8.25 lengths. Tango Princess was cleared. 

Sultan's Boy trialled over the 400 metre distance from box 3, weight 29.6kgs.  The greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.88.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 8 lengths.  Sultan's Boy was cleared.
