Steward's Report

Shakey Jet was vetted during kennelling and passed fit to race.

A pre race sample was taken from Dashing Magic.

Kev's Choice and Fastest Leap collided soon after the start.  Lisburn Star checked off Shakey Jet approaching the first turn checking Shakey Jet and Opal Latte.  Tiger Jams checked off Invictus Skybird approaching the first turn.  Shakey Jet, Kev's Choice and Tiger Jams collided on the first turn severely checking Kev's Choice and Tiger Jams.  Invictus Skybird marred the running of Fastest Leap approaching the home turn causing both greyhounds to race wide; Fastest Leap was severely checked as a result.  Fastest Leap and Tiger Jams raced wide in the home straight.

Invictus Skybird was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Ms. M. Schmidt, the trainer of the greyhound Invictus Skybird regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn.  Acting under GAR 69(1), stewards charged Invictus Skybird with marring.  Ms. Schmidt pleaded guilty to the charge.  Invictus Skybird was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
