Steward's Report
Weston East was slow to begin.
Weston East, Gaucho and Dyna Villa collided soon after the start checking Weston East and Gaucho. Ivy Bale and Dyna Villa collided soon after the start. Lektra Concord, Weblec Belle, Ivy Bale, Dyna Villa and Emrys collided approaching the first turn checking Lektra Concord, Weblec Belle and Gaucho with Weblec Belle racing wide as a result. Emrys, Ivy Bale and Dyna Villa collided entering the back straight checking Ivy Bale and Dyna Villa. Dyna Villa checked off Ivy Bale on the third turn checking Lektra Concord. Lektra Concord and Dyna Villa collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn checking Lektra Concord.
Lektra Concord was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhounds sustained minor lacerations, no stand down period was imposed.
Samples were taken from Weston East (1st) and Emrys (2nd).
Stewards issued a warning to Mrs A. Dailly, the trainer of Lektra Concord regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post.
