Be Hopeful was slow to begin. Weather Whatever and Terrorizer collided soon after the start. Brother Moses and Lektra Khan collided approaching the first turn. New Job Jimmy checked off Stagger Express on the first turn, checking Brother Moses, Lektra Khan, Weather Whatever and Be Hopeful. Brother Moses raced wide on the home turn. Direwolf Ghost and Stagger Express collided several times in the home straight, checking both greyhounds.
