Slipaway Mavis, Derby Ghost and Optimus Bart collided soon after the start. Navaho checked off He's No Jet on the first turn. He's No Jet checked off Rapid Roy on the first turn. Rapid Roy and Miss Monteya collided on the first turn. Derby Ghost and Optimus Bart collided on the first turn and several times in the back straight. Rapid Roy, Miss Monteya and Jeremey Rent collided on the second turn checking Miss Monteya and Rapid Roy. Optimus Bart and Rapid Roy collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn. Slipaway Mavis raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.
