Stewards spoke to Mr. K Daisley the handler of the greyhound Casey's Choice after it was established that he placed the incorrect rug on the greyhound prior to the greyhound entering the stir up yard. Stewards issued a severe reprimand. In determining this decision stewards took into account Mr. Daisley's guilty plea as well as his record in greyhound racing. The staff concerned have been referred to their respective managers. 

Mr. Wingnut and Miss Talia were quick to begin.  Casey's Choice and Sunshine Casey collided soon after the start.  Boris Winslow checked off Pretty Crazy approaching the first turn.  Royal Cosmic crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Pretty Crazy, Miss Talia, Boris Winslow and Casey's Choice and severely checking Classy Arrow and Mr. Wingnut.  Boris Winslow and Pretty Crazy collided several times approaching the home turn checking Pretty Crazy.

Mr. Wingnut was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left shoulder.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Miracle Maggie and Sun Scream were slow to begin.  Miracle Maggie checked off Sun Scream on the first turn.  Why Not Sue and Sun Scream collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn checking Why Not Sue.  That Acid Summer raced wide on the home turn.  Why Not Sue checked off Sun Scream entering the home straight.

Our Banjo was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to its left hock.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Initial Factor, Sir Murray and Slipaway Jenifer collided soon after the start.  Bit Of Alright, Class Aire, Sparkling Venus and Mr. Stealer collided on the first turn checking Bit Of Alright and Sparkling Venus.  Class Aire and Mr. Stealer collided entering the back straight.  Crymelon Sunrise and Slipaway Jenifer collided several times in the back straight and on the second turn checking Slipaway Jenifer.  Class Aire and Mr. Stealer collided in the home straight.  Sir Murray raced wide in the home straight.  Bit Of Alright and Sparkling Venus collided approaching the winning post.

Starvin' Seagull was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its right pencil and split webbing to its left hind foot.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

HIgh Hopes was quick to begin.  Lily Black and Cosmic Elle collided on the first turn checking Cosmic Elle.  Soft Ballad checked off Lemon Patchwork entering the back straight checking Mepunga Sammy.  High Hopes and Cee Cee's Legacy collided approaching the second turn checking Cee Cee's Legacy and Lemon Patchwork.  Lily Black and Soft Ballad collided approaching the home turn checking Soft Ballad and Mepunga Sammy.  Cosmic Elle and Soft Ballad collided on the home turn checking Soft Ballad and Mepunga Sammy.  Soft Ballad and Mepunga Sammy collided in the home straight.  High Hopes and Pason Sander collided approaching the winning post.
