That's The Plan and Dr. Shiki were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. Quaint Bale and Gold Anthem collided soon after the start. Bush Wacked stumbled and became unbalanced approaching the first turn. Dr. Shiki and Three Day Shadow collided on the first turn. That's The Plan checked off Dr. Shiki on the first turn. Quaint Bale and Gold Anthem collided approaching the second turn, checking Quaint Bale. Bush Wacked and That's The Plan collided in the back straight. Quaint Bale checked off Gold Anthem in the back straight. Dr. Shiki and Three Day Shadow collided in the home straight.
Bush Wacked was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right shoulder and left hip support, a seven day stand down period was imposed.
It was reported the muzzle of Bush Wacked had become wedged during the running of the event. Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Hall the representative of Bush Wacked regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the first turn. After taking into account all the circumstances involved no further action was taken against the greyhound.
