A pre race sample was taken from Magic Max prior to kenneling upon arrival at the course.
Magic Max was slow to begin. Perrier Bale and Magic Max collided soon after the start. Nitro Addicition and Turfman collided soon after the start. Magic Max and Nitro Addiction collided approaching tbe first turn checking Magic Max. Gabonia contacted the running rail on the first turn checking Gabonia, Perrier Bale and Turfman. Gabonia and Perrier Bale collided approaching the second turn checking Gabonia. Perrier Bale and Turfman collided on the third turn checking Turfman. Gabonia brushed the running rail approaching the home turn.
A sample was taken from Abscond - the winner of the event.
Gabonia was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right calf and right hock, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
