Blurton was slow to begin. Bernmar Princess and Bally Zoro collided soon after the start, checking Bernmar Princess. Rimpac and Stress Star collided approaching the home turn. Bernmar Princess and Blurton collided entering the home straight, checking Bernmar Princess and severely checking Blurton.
Blurton was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left monkey muscle, right quadriceps and tail, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
