Dapto Dan and Ninja Apple collided soon after the start. Cool Whipp checked off Who Told Lindylu approaching the first turn. Lettuce Hold On, Cool Whipp, Dapto Dan and Boston Jive collided approaching the first turn, checking Dapto Dan and Cool Whipp. Cool Whipp galloped on the heels of Dapto Dan on the first turn, checking Dapto Dan.
She's A Freebie which trailed the field throughout and tailed off was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following race 5, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right pencil and right thigh, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Dapto Dan was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left shoulder and left hind metatarsal, and spike wounds to the left hind metatarsal, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr A Sacco, the trainer of the greyhound She's A Freebie. Stewards deemed the performance of She's A Freebie unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that She's A Freebie must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
