Fast Boloney was slow to begin.  Oscar Beam and Fast Boloney collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn.

Dapto Dan and Ninja Apple collided soon after the start.  Cool Whipp checked off Who Told Lindylu approaching the first turn.  Lettuce Hold On, Cool Whipp, Dapto Dan and Boston Jive collided approaching the first turn, checking Dapto Dan and Cool Whipp.  Cool Whipp galloped on the heels of Dapto Dan on the first turn, checking Dapto Dan.

She's A Freebie which trailed the field throughout and tailed off was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following race 5, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right pencil and right thigh, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Dapto Dan was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left shoulder and left hind metatarsal, and spike wounds to the left hind metatarsal, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr A Sacco, the trainer of the greyhound She's A Freebie.  Stewards deemed the performance of She's A Freebie unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that She's A Freebie must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Quirinus Quirrel was slow to begin.  Mechatronic, Rage Bale, Belena Jake, Farhat Bale and Ravager Bale collided soon after the start, checking Farhat Bale.  Rage Bale checked off Mechatronicapproaching the first turn.  Belena Jake, Farhat Bale and Ravager Bale collided approaching the first turn, checking Belena Jake and Farhat Bale.  Belena Jake and Ravager Bale collided on the first turn, checking Belena Jake.  Quirinus Quirrel and Mechatronic collided on the first turn, checking Quirinus Quirrel which collided with Farhat Bale, causing Quirinus Quirrel to lose considerable ground.

It was noted that the muzzle on Ravager Bale became dislodged during the running of the event.

A sample was taken from Rivergum Drive - the winner of the event.

Quirinus Quirrel was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Kid Maximus was a late scratching at 5.52pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to a left calf injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. 

Pyromania and Rip It collided soon after the start.  Rip It and Creamy Soda collided several times approaching the first turn.  Cobalt Mist checked off Rip It on the first turn.  Jailor Bale and Pyromania collided on the first turn.  Rip it and Creamy Soda raced wide on the home turn.

Nussin Much and It's A Blast were slow to begin.  Cosmic Rebel, Lynlea Jake and Jaycee collided soon after the start, checking Lynlea Jake.  Cosmic Rebel and Jaycee collided on the first turn.  Bush Wacked checked off Sweet Chilly on the first turn and collided with Spring Trail, checking Spring Trail and Jaycee.  Nussin Much, Spring Trail and Bush Wacked collided entering the back straight.  Lynlea Jake and Bush Wacked collided in the back straight, checking Bush Wacked.  Spring Trail and Lynlea Jake collided in the back straight.  Nussin Much and Sweet Chilly collided on the second turn, severely checking Sweet Chilly.  Lynlea Jake and Jaycee collided approaching the home turn, checking Lynlea Jake.  It's A Blast and Bush Wacked raced wide in the hom estraight.

Sweet Chilly was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left monkey muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Jaycee was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Classy Boy and Deli Allen were slow to begin and collided soon after the start, checking Deli Allen.  Mademoiselle Sox crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Blue Giant, Mepunga Ledger and Mademoiselle Sox.  Just A Dot and Mademoiselle Sox collided in the back straight, checking Mademoiselle Sox.  Just A Dot and Blue Giant collided on the second turn.  Classy Boy checked off Blue Giant approaching the home turn.  Mademoiselle Sox and Classy Boy collided approaching the home turn.  Classy Boy checked off Echelonic Action in the home straight.  Just A Dot and Mademoiselle Sox collided in the home straight.

Echelonic Action, which tired over the concluding stages of the race, was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Deli Allen was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Deli Allen.  A post race sample was subsequently taken.

Stewards spoke to Mrs S Vincent regarding her difficulty in boxing the greyhound Just A Dot.  Stewards directed that Just A Dot be boxed first in future events.

Kevin In Bangkok was slow to begin.  Pedro's Twist and Linco Bale collided soon after the start.  Me The Chief checked off Breathing Fire soon after the start.  Inventor, Black Beard and Dyna Chaser collided approaching the first turn, checking Dyna Chaser.  Linco Bale and Me The Chief collided on the first turn.  Black Beard galloped on the heels of Inventor on the first turn, checking Black Beard, Pedro's Twist and Me The Chief.

Kraken Soupy was quick to begin.  Ima Fairytale checked off One Dee approaching the first turn.  One Dee and Kraken Soupy collided approaching the home turn, checking Kraken Soupy and severely checking Fratelli Fresh which pulled up as a result.

Fratelli Fresh was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right hock, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Mumbles Murray and Kraken Flash collided soon after the start, checking Mumbles Murray.  Claretown Bart, No Jockey Needed, Billo's Pick and Kraken Flash collided approaching the first turn, checking Claretown Bart and Kraken Flash.  Lovey and Quarrel Bale collided on the first turn and again several times approaching the home turn, checking Lovey.  Billo's Pick and Quarrel Bale collided on the home turn.

High Light Star and Rennicane were slow to begin.  Blast Away and Kezza's Spirit collided soon after the start.  Kezza's Spirit, Ice Cold Bundy and Kifinti collided approaching the first turn.  Savage Storm, Blast Away and Chloe's Hand collided approaching the first turn, checking Blast Away.  Rennicane and Kifiniti collided on the first turn.  Ice Cold Bundy checked off Kifiniti approaching the home turn.  Kezza's Spirit and Rennicane collided approaching the home turn.

Cosmic Goldie was very slow to begin (2.5 lengths).  Mum's Gem checked off Hallibel Bale soon after the start.  Dana Archie and Mum's Gem collided approaching the first turn.  Mafalda Hopkirk, Chloe's Entity, Steel Fury and Hallibel Bale collided on the first turn, checking Cosmic Goldie and Dana Archie and severely checking Chloe's Entity.  Mafalda Hopkirk checked off Hallibel Bale approaching the home turn.  Mum's Gem, Cosmic Goldie and Dana Archie collided approaching the home turn, checking Dana Archie and Chloe's Entity.

Chloe's Entity was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr J Burch in that when behind the starting boxes he used improper language which in the opinion of the stewards constituted misconduct (GAR 86(o)).  Mr Burch pleaded guilty to the charge and Stewards issued a fine of $50.00.

Smashing Wild and Lisburn Star were slow to begin.  Smashing Blue and Cool Lois collided approaching the first turn.  Smashing Wild and Lisburn Star collided on the first turn.  Solitary Tear crossed to the rail on the first turn, checking Tools Down and Quint Bale and severely checking Smashing Blue and Cool Lois.  Smashing Wild, Smashing Blue and Cool Lois collided approaching the home turn, checking all three greyhounds.  Tools Down and Quint Bale collided several times on the home turn.  Smashing Blue and Cool Lois collided on the home turn.
