Steward's Report
A. Azzopardi, trainer of Sajetti redeclared a new weight of 23.5kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Sajetti last raced at 25.2kg. Stewards spoke to Mr Azzopardi regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced (15.4.15). Mr Azzopardi stated that the greyhound was returning from injury.
Spare Parts was slow to begin. Super Pablo and Olympic Lass collided soon after the start. Quicker Than Bev, Super Pablo and Olympic Lass collided several times approaching the first turn checking Super Pablo. Quicker Than Bev and Olympic Lass collided on the first turn. Quicker Than Bev, Super Pablo and Olympic Lass collided approaching the home turn severely checking Quicker Than Bev and Olympic Lass.
Quicker Than Bev was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its left shoulder and right thigh. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
