Steward's Report

Allen Icarus and Dr. Des were slow to begin. Stop Moochin'stumbled at box rise and was slow to begin. Lambda Bale and Beyond Rapid collided soon after the start. Dyna Geldof. Allen Icarus, Stop Moochin'and Feel The Wrath collided approaching the first turn, checking Dyna Geldof, Stop Moochin'and Dr. Des. Dr. Des raced wide as a result. Dyna Geldof and Stop Moochin' collided approaching the second turn and again on the second turn, checking Stop Moochin'. Dr. Des checked off Feel The Wrath entering the home straight. Lambda Bale checked off Beyond Rapid in the home straight. Allen Icarus and Feel The Wrath collided approaching the winning post, checking Allen Icarus.

Stop Moochin' was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Stewards spoke to catcher Carole Brinsley in regards to her failure to ensure that a catcher was organised for the greyhound Surf Jester in this event. Mrs. Brinsley pleaded guilty to this matter and was found guilty and charged under rule 86(o) negligence. Stewards issued Mrs. Brinsley with a $500.00 fine with $200.00 suspended for 24 months pending no further breaches of this rule. Mrs. Brinsley was previously fined for a similar matter in December 2014 in which $200.00 was suspended pending no further breaches for 12 months. Stewards found Mrs. Brinsley has breached the terms of that finding, as a result the suspended $200.00 will be issued in addition to todays charge.
