Pyrenees Dynasty and Magic Max were slow to begin. Cairnlea Bill, Wild West Stress and Ma Ma Keogh collided soon after the start. Boston Shuffle, Cairnlea Bill, Wild West Stress and Ma Ma Keogh collided approaching the first turn. Ma Ma Keogh crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Boston Shuffle, Pyrenees Dynasty and Wild West Stress. Western Reign, Cairnlea Bill and Ma Ma Keogh collided approaching the second turn. Sparkling Star checked off Pyrenees Dynasty on the second turn. Pyrenees Dynasty and Wild West Stress collided approaching the home turn.
Cairnlea Bill was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left shoulder. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
