Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Shaw, the handler of Pollos Hermanos with regard to the length of time the greyhound has had between racing. Pollos Hermanos last raced on 12 March 2015. Mr. Shaw stated that Pollos Hermanos suffered a hip injury at its last start at Shepparton in March. Mr. Shaw added that Pollos Hermanos was disappointing when trialling after it was initially bought back into work and subsequently had more time off. He further added Pollos Hermanos has trialled well since it's lay off.
Rage Bale and Linco Bale were slow to begin. Maudie Magic and Miss Petrova collided soon after the start. Miss Petrova and Rage Bale collided on the first turn, checking Miss Petrova. Rage Bale and American Girl collided on the first turn, checking Rage Bale. Linco Bale and Ousti collided in the home straight. Maudie Magic faltered in the home straight.
Maudie Magic was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left monkey muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr P.Clark, the trainer of the greyhound Maudie Magic. Stewards deemed the performance of Maudie Magic unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Maudie Magic must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
