Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Commonsoli, the Trainer of Skyfire, with regard to the length of time the greyhound has had between racing. Skyfire last raced on 21st February 2015. Mr. Commonsoli stated that the owners had chosen to give Skyfire to have a break from racing. He added that the greyhound has been in his kennels for six weeks and has trialled well prior to today's run.
Punk Panther, Swagzilla and All Inn Ky were slow to begin. Skyfire and Bing's Bro collided approaching the first turn, checking Swagzilla and Skyfire. Swagzilla galloped on the heels of Skyfire approaching the first turn, severely checking Skyfire. Skyfire and Tambay Bale collided on the home turn and again in the home straight.
Swagzilla was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right shoulder, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
